There’s something about a jar of paint brushes that instantly reminds me of home. Some from art classes, some from random craft stores, and a few that I honestly just forgot where they came from. They’re all different sizes and shapes, packed into this one glass jar that’s usually sitting on my desk or windowsill by my other art supplies. Even now when my work has been more design forward, I like having them around. They make my space feel creative, like I’m always one step away from starting something new.

What I love most is that every brush holds a tiny piece of something I’ve made. A color I couldn’t wash all the way out, a frayed edge from painting, or the dried specks of whatever creative thing I did last. The whole jar feels like a quiet reminder that creativity doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s messy, colorful, and kind of chaotic, but in the best way.  Whenever I look at them, I feel inspired to make something again.
